Otherliness is an idea that was almost invented by LifeSpring friend Jim Henderson from Seattle, Washington. Jim has lived and breathed otherliness in his work and also inspired LifeSpringers to make otherliness a part of their practice.
Actually, otherliness is not a new idea. Jesus was a proponent of this virtue, even though he did not use that specific word. He was talking about otherliness when he said, that the one who is great is actually a servant. He modeled it when he tied a towel around his waist and washed his disciples dirty feet. He went to the farthermost dimensions of otherliness when he submitted to the whippings and humiliation of crucifixion by the Romans.
LifeSpring seeks to be otherly in her life as a faith community. We invite you to join us in our desire to model the otherliness of Jesus in all that we do.
