God of grace you know my story,
How I arose from the chaos I give you the glory.
Completely alone I have not felt
for in my heart you have dwelt.
I haven’t always known you this close
but thankfully my love for you forever grows.
I will never know all the ways of your protection,
nor how deep your love is for me, even with my imperfections.
The things I have done or been a witness
Only brought me closer to you, and desiring forgiveness.
Not only forgiveness of my sin
but for me to forgive without end.
For your grace is bigger than I could have imagined,
but then again, you can do more than we can fathom.
A heart like yours is what I desire,
For them to see you in me, and ignite their fire.
Through my habits and hang ups is where you
do your work,
Helping to show me my value and worth.
Help me to grow toward you more and more each day,
For you are the truth, the light and the way!
Not having you in my life,
I could not do, no matter the strife.
Never let go of this troubled soul,
For eternal life with you is my hope and my goal.
Thank you Lord for what you have done,
For sacrificing your only son.
Thank you for giving us a way to remember,
The body and blood of our loving Savior.
