November 27 is the first day of Advent, and it concludes on December 24. Advent means “the coming or arrival of something or someone that is important or worthy of note.”
LifeSpring Church has just published its fourth annual Advent Calendar, a booklet with twenty-eight days of meditations centered on the idea of waiting for Messiah, our person of importance. Waiting like the Israelites did as the prophets foretold the coming of a savior. Waiting like Mary did as she waited for her child to be born. And waiting as persecuted disciples of Jesus, then and now, for the second and ultimate coming of Messiah.
LifeSpring would like to invite you to join us as we wait. Come and worship with us at Playhouse Merced. Information about time and location of our worship may be found conveniently on this website. Or let us know if you’d like to have one of our free Advent Calendars. Copies are limited so let us know soon by commenting below.
Advent is one of our favorite times of the year. Time slows down. We have more reasons to get together with family and friends. And we focus our attention on what God has done, is doing, and is going to do. What’s not to like about waiting and praying for Messiah?
